Roisin qualified from University College Cork with an Honours Degree. She received the Dr Noel Hayes Award for coming top of the class in Oral Dental Surgery and she continues to be very interested in this field. Upon qualifying, she decided against emigrating to the UK, like many of her colleagues, and has worked in dental practices in Carlow, Tullamore and Dublin and is now working in Boyne Dental Maynooth. Roisin has a keen interest in putting patients at ease and getting to know each patient, thereby giving you the best result possible. By involving you in every stage of the treatment planning and implementation everyone gets a great sense of satisfaction, which is one of the main things Roisin loves about her job. Roisin is interested in aesthetic treatments and places huge emphasis on prevention rather than cure, giving each patient the time they need to understand their dental needs and ways to improve their dental health.
Outside of work, Roisin is a keen Ladies Gaelic Footballer and has played with the Cork Ladies Footballers since 2012. She has amassed 5 Senior Ladies Football All-Ireland medals, along with an All-Star in the full back position. Her club team, Aghada, has also won the Junior All-Ireland Club title in recent years. Other hobbies include cooking and she always has time to read a good mystery/thriller book, recommendations are always appreciated!
