Invisalign Overview

Invisalign is the most advanced clear aligner system in the world. Each feature is designed to reveal the smile that you deserve.

Life can continue as normal with Invisalign, as it discreetly does its work. You can comfortably wear your aligners for 22 hours a day. And because the aligners are removable, it’s easy to maintain your regular oral hygiene and enjoy your usual diet.
As you progress, replacing your aligners every 1-2 weeks, people may notice a gradual change in your smile.

Invisalign is:

  • Removable
  • Comfortable
  • Practically invisible

The Invisalign treatment process is as straightforward as it is technically advanced.
1. Once you have visited our clinic and we have confirmed that you are eligible for treatment, we’ll take photos, X-rays and digital scans of your teeth.
2. You’ll receive a series of custom-made aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average this will be every 1-2 weeks.
3. We will welcome you back every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners.

Additional Information

Daily Care and Maintenance

Aligners should be cleaned prior to each insertion using a soft bristle toothbrush with water and a small amount of toothpaste. Note* Be sure that each aligner is rinsed thoroughly with water after each cleaning. We also recommend that Invisalign aligner cleaning products are used once a week, or as needed.

Do NOT use denture cleaners to clean aligners. Do NOT soak them in mouthwash. These products can damage the surface of the aligner, causing it to become dull and more visible.

Oral Hygiene

Aligners should be removed for eating and drinking. (You do not need to remove aligners to drink cool water).

You should brush and floss your teeth after each meal or snack prior to re-inserting your aligners.

If you don’t have access to an Invisalign cleaning system or a toothbrush, you can simply rinse your mouth and clean your aligners by simply rinsing your aligners under warm running water. It’s not the best way to clean, but it works in a pinch. Aligners should be thoroughly cleaned at your earliest convenience.

Do I still need to see a dentist for routine check ups and cleaning?

Yes! – it is very important to keep up with regular dental visits and your recommended hygiene visits, during the course of your Invisalign treatment.
