Interdental Brushing Advice

Go Back To Hygiene & Periodontics

A systematic and appropriate brushing technique is crucial for effective oral hygiene. Your dental hygienist will advise correct brushing techniques and also correct size of interdental brushes (they come in a range for sizes from 0 – 8). After brushing with a soft bristle toothbrush, you should also floss or use interdental brushes to get in-between the gaps in your teeth. Dentists have proven that everyday use of interdental brush, together with manual toothbrush and correct brushing technique, give very satisfactory results in terms of your oral hygiene and oral health.
