After graduating in 2013 Dr McGibney/David moved to the UK for five years, where he worked first within the National Health Service, completing a one year vocational training programme before moving into private practice.
Since moving back to Ireland David has worked both in private practice and within children’s dentistry in the HSE.
Dr McGibney’s key skills include providing general dental care for anxious and non-anxious adults and children in a caring manner including fillings, crowns, bridges and extractions.
Prevention of dental disease is another area of dentistry that Dr McGibney is very passionate about, and he has a special interest in Invisalign and dental implants .
Since graduating Dr McGibney has undertaken a year long Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry under the tutelage of the restorative specialist Dr Dominic Hassall.
In 2015 Dr McGibney undertook an 18 month training programme in implant dentistry and is currently studying for The Royal College of Surgeons Diploma in Implant Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry David enjoys rugby, running, cooking and baking, and is a big fan of Wexford hurling!

Shama completed her Dental training at University College Cork in 2022, before joining the Boyne Dental team in that September. During her training, she has undertaken research in development of a 3D Tissue Engineered hydrogel for treatment of osteoarthritis.
She enjoys all aspect of general dentistry, and aims to provide a tailored treatment to each patient in a relaxed and approachable manner. She finds it extremely rewarding when her patients achieve their treatment goals and maintain a healthy mouth.
In her free time, Shama enjoys going for a nice cold swim, reading and travelling.
Aoife qualified as a dental nurse in 2015 and continued her education by working in a multi-disciplinary specialist dental practice, whilst finding her devotion to periodontology.
Aoife then went on to graduate from University College Cork as a Dental Hygienist. Passionate about oral hygiene education and oral hygiene promotion, Aoife believes in giving each patient the individual knowledge and tools they require to achieve and maintain their periodontal health and stability.
Aoife’s caring and empathetic approach to her patients puts even the most nervous of patients at ease.
In her spare time, Aoife enjoys socialising with her family and friends.
Sarah qualified as a dental nurse in 2013 in Drogheda Further Education and loves being a dental nurse.
She is a great asset to our team and is loved by all patients who attend and find her kind and warm nature extremely comforting.
In her free time, Sarah is an avid member of her local ladies running club.
Alicja joined our team in Dunshaughlin in January of this year.
She graduated in dental nursing from Trinity in 2018, and has a particular interest in all aspects of dental surgery and orthodontics.
Outside of work Alicja is a keen runner, loves to keep fit in the gym and looks forward to skiing every year.
Paddy joined our Dunshaughlin Team as Practice Manager in September 2020. After working for almost 20 years in customer service, Paddy brings a wealth of experience to his roll, and gets huge satisfaction from ensuring all our patient’s needs are catered for, and that they are completely at ease as they complete their dental journey.
Outside of work, Paddy is a keen whiskey enthusiast and amateur cook, and enjoys nothing more than spending his time with his wife and his two incredibly cute children.
Viktorija is on the patient care team at Boyne Dental.
She previously worked as a Montessori teacher for two years, she also worked as a psychiatric nurse for five years and most previously as a manager in hospitality. Viktorija has a range of qualifications ranging from her Bachelors degree in social science and on to nursing, childcare, pharmacy assistant and medical secretary course, making her a brilliant asset to the Boyne family.
When asked about her job in Boyne Dental she said “I feel I finally found my place for the future. I’m delighted and happy”
Maria moved to Navan in 2000, and she quickly made it her home. We were delighted when she joined the Boyne Dental team in Navan in 2015- she fit in straight away and it felt like she had always worked here!
We asked her to join our Dunshaughlin team in 2022 and her incredibly kind and caring personality makes her a firm favourite amongst our patients. She loves to meet and greet all our visitors and effortlessly puts them at ease upon their arrival.
In her spare time, Maria loves to cook and spend time with her family.
