Sinéad completed her Dental training at Queens University Belfast and graduated in June 2013 with Distinctions in the areas of Conservation, Prosthetics and Oral Surgery. Following graduation she moved to Wales, where she completed her vocational training year. Sinéad remained in Wales for a further 4 years as an associate dentist in a prestigious private practice prior to joining Boyne Dental in 2018.
Sinéad enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a strong interest in Restorative Dental treatments including Periodontics and Dental Implants.
Sinéad is developing her interest and skills in Periodontics further and is currently working towards her PhD in Oral and Dental Science relating to Clinical Periodontology at the University of Bristol, investigating different modalities for the diagnosis, management and treatment of the Periodontal diseases. Prior to studying for her PhD, Sinéad had been studying for a masters degree covering similar topics, however decided to pursue and expand her research further. Sinéad has completed numerous courses and has completed a post graduate certificate in Periodontology as well as a post graduate training course in Dental Implants facilitated by the International Team for Implantology (ITI), 2015.
Sinéad is a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Bristol since 2016, and is involved in conducting both clinical and lab based research studies relating to Periodontics. As part of this role she attends Restorative Consultant Clinics seeing referral patients; this has enabled her to develop the skills to treatment plan for complex cases, which in turn has benefited her clinical practice. She is also involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Sinéad is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) after completing the fellowship exams in 2015.
Sinéad has also gained qualifications in the administration of Botox and dermal fillers enabling her to provide facial aesthetic treatments.
Sinéad is an active member of the Irish Dental Association (www.dentist.ie), British Dental Association (www.bda.org), the British Society of Periodontology (www.bsperio.org.uk), the International Team for Implantololgy (www.iti.org)
Outside of dentistry Sinéad enjoys all sports especially running and spending time with her husband and four little boys.
