Lip Fillers Dublin
Boyne Dental, one of the premier Lip Filler clinics outside of Dublin, can add shape, structure and volume back into your lips.
The natural ageing process results in a reduction in the collagen and elastic framework of the skin. Ageing coupled with sun exposure and constant movement around the mouth can all result in our lips becoming less defined. Through using lip fillers it is possible to smooth out folds and wrinkles to give a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
You maybe worried about developing the infamous ‘Trout Pout’. However this unwanted lip shape was as a result of Dublin clinics using permanent, collagen implants for lip enhancements. Today, third and indeed fourth generation lip fillers, one can predictably and safely enhance a persons lips with little fear of ending up with a trout pout!
At Boyne Dental (only 30 minutes from Dublin) we use the best in market lip enhancement products. Restylane contains Hyaluronic acid which provides beautiful natural looking lips. Your new and improved, more luscious lips will be elegant, with no adverse signs of enhancement.
Lip fillers are an entirely elective non-surgical minimally invasive cosmetic treatment. People may choose to have lip filler because they are unhappy with the shape of their lips, often their top lip is very thin. Lip fillers are used to increase lip volume and to reduce or get rid of those ageing smoker’s lines around the mouth.
How do lip fillers work?
Fillers are a gel which acts as padding under the skin to fill out and redefine lips. Typically, fillers are used to redefine the shape of the lips giving the lips a more defined outline. They are injected using fine needles to strategic point on the face to plump and even out the skin. The results are immediate.
Does it hurt?
Having fillers injected can be uncomfortable but not generally very painful. There can be some swelling or redness for a day or two after treatment. Make-up can be applied immediately after the procedure to disguise an redness and you can go straight back to work.
How long will it filler last?
This will depend on a number of factors, not least the type of filler used. Some fillers can last up to a year. This will vary however from person to person and from one area of the face to another. Genetics, age, skin type, lifestyle, muscle activity and the injection technique used will all play a role and affect each individual differently. It’s important to follow the advice of practitioner in order to maximise the effects of your treatment. Optimal results can be maintained over a long period of time through regular repeated treatment.
