Dental Bridges In Navan
Like a crown, a bridge is a fixed restoration. It cannot be removed from the mouth. Dental bridges are appliances used to replace one or more missing teeth in a mouth.
It “bridges the gap” between healthy teeth. It has three pieces a pontic tooth (or false tooth), held together by two crowns (a “cap”) that covers the tooth, approximating its normal size. This combination is then cemented to the abutment teeth (the surrounding teeth) on each side of the gap.
This is known as a fixed bridge. This procedure is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Teeth either side of the gap are prepared and bridge is fitted over the top and cemented in place.
The price range of bridge work is extremely variable and will be discussed on consultation. Bridges have an average lifespan of 10-12 years, but can survive well in excess of this.
